A Ceremony on the Lakes

The pheras took place at dusk, as the golden sun dipped behind the Aravalli hills and the City Palace lit up in amber light on the other side of the lake. The couple exchanged vows beneath a mandap adorned with thousands of marigolds, jasmine, and white orchids. The reflection of the lit palace on the still water created a backdrop that no studio could ever replicate.

The Grand Baraat

The groom's baraat was a spectacle unto itself. Riding a beautifully adorned white horse through the heritage arched gates of the venue, flanked by dhol players and dancing family members in vibrant lehengas and sherwanis, the energy was electric. The entire procession was lit by marigold strings and giant lanterns, making it feel like a scene from another era.

An Unforgettable Reception

The reception was held under a canopy of crystal chandeliers and cascading fairy lights, with the city palace shimmering across the lake behind the guests. Tables were dressed with towering white orchid centrepieces, gold candleholders, and crimson roses — a palette that felt both cinematic and intimate. Every detail had been curated to perfection.

The Portrait That Said It All

As the sun set over Lake Pichola, we took the couple to a private rooftop for what became the defining image of their wedding. The bride in her intricately embroidered red lehenga and the groom in his ivory sherwani, with the City Palace glowing gold behind them, as the sky turned amber and rose — this portrait captured not just their love, but the soul of Udaipur itself.
